Chta is operated at chta-monkey.com. This page explains what we collect and how we use it.

Account data

We store your email, password hash, and workspace metadata so you can sign in and manage workspaces.

Workspace documents

Files you upload stay in your account’s workspaces and are encrypted at rest. Only the workspace you mark active is attached as context for Listen and Answer (other boxes stay invisible). We do not sell your uploads.

Providers

To run the product we send data to third-party processors:

• Anthropic: receives relevant workspace document text plus your question and recent conversation turns so it can generate a speakable answer.
• Deepgram: receives live microphone audio from Listen (not only a transcript) so speech can be converted to text in real time.

Do not upload or say secrets you would not send to those services.

Cookies / session

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in on the website. The desktop app uses a device token stored securely on your machine.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics on the website to understand how people use our pages and product (page views, button clicks, signup and upgrade steps). After you sign in, we send Google a numeric account id (not your email) so we can see how one account moves through the site. Google may set its own cookies. See Google’s Privacy Policy.

Where required by law (including the EEA and UK), we ask for your consent before analytics cookies are used. You can accept or decline via the cookie notice on the site. Your choice is stored for about six months.

Retention

Your data stays until you delete a workspace, delete your account, or ask us to remove it. Deleting your account revokes device tokens, removes your workspaces, and cancels any active paid subscription.
